Our Mission

Community Cat Connections was established by a dedicated group of individuals who recognized the importance of cat advocacy and the need to support those volunteering their time and energy for the TNR support of community and feral cats in Green Cove Springs, FL.

What is TNVR?

TNVR, which stands for Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, and Return, is a safe and effective method embraced by cat advocacy groups to care for feral, community, or stray cats. These cats are humanely trapped, transported for spaying or neutering and vaccination, and then returned to their original locations, fostering strong community cat connections while providing essential TNR support.

Why TNVR?

TNR support plays a crucial role in preventing more kittens from being born. It also helps stop loud noises, fighting, and spraying among community cats. By reducing the spread of diseases like rabies, TNR support protects both cats and people. Additionally, it helps keep cats out of shelters, where space is limited, ultimately fostering stronger community cat connections. Cats also contribute positively by keeping away rats and mice.

Community Cat vs Feral Cat

Community cats live outside and can range from friendly to shy. Many individuals engage in cat advocacy by feeding or caring for these cats, fostering strong community cat connections. On the other hand, feral cats tend to be wild and usually avoid people, highlighting the importance of TNR support to manage their populations.
